Amy Lane
Artistic Director and Founder of Clockwork Opera. She commenced her career in Opera and Theatre as a Stage Manager, working in the West End for 3 years on AN INSPECTOR CALLS, for 4 years with DIVA OPERA and then for 4 years at THE ROYAL OPERA, Covent Garden where she worked on over 30 different productions. Amy also Stage Managed the BAFTAs at The Royal Opera in 2008. Amy moved into Directing in 2008 and has Assistant Directed: WOZZECK – Danish Opera, 2008 THE BEGGAR’s OPERA – The Royal Opera, 2008/9 ON THE RIM OF THE WORLD, VOICES OF THE FUTURE – The Royal Opera, 2009 SHOWCASE 2009 - National Opera Studio TOSCA - The Royal Opera, 2009 CARMEN – The Royal Opera, 2009 TOSCA - Welsh National Opera, 2010 Current/Future engagements as Assistant Director include CARMEN - The Royal Opera: 2010, LAUNCH OF THE ROH PRODUCTION PARK - The Royal Opera: 2010, THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO - Warsaw, Poland: 2010, ANDREA CHENIER at the Bregenz Festival, Austria: 2011 and further work with the celebrated Director: Keith Warner. As a Professional Mezzo-Soprano, Amy has sung for The Royal Opera, English National Opera, Opera Holland Park, British Youth Opera and even as a Backing Singer for Barry Manilow!
